New York Times Ad Innovation Awards
 

Zard Web Design won several awards in its first year, most notably "NYTimes.Com Favorite" in the First Annual Ad Innovation Awards sponsored by the New York Times.

Awards were given for the most creative and innovative use of the NYTimes.com’s “Surround Session”, a new online advertising model that focuses sequential advertising. Using a combination of standard banner ads and animated Flash graphics, a single advertiser can tell a story.

In a Surround Session, the advertiser controls all the ad space over consecutive pages, no matter where the viewer clicks, ensuring that the viewer sees the entire campaign.

Zard wanted to create an ad sequence that would entertain the viewer with bold graphics that seemed to “jump off the page.” Orkin Pest Control proved to be the perfect client for our goals.
